There is a revolution occurring in technology, and its one that has only been dreamed of.  One that has made comic books, movies, TV and fantasy novels curiously intriguing.  Now that fantasy is close to becoming a reality: invisibility.

Granted, there is still a great deal of advancement that needs to be made in order for the technology to function much like we all hoped and dreamed it could - from any angle and in any environment - but the fact that this much exists thus far offers an imaginative future.

Of course with any advancement comes responsibility.  See, advancement brings with it two very real options: 1. Positive potential 2. Negative potential.  Much of that is determined by how people decide to use it.

For example,  the invention and advancement of the car has been a tremendous benefit. It allows for quick transportation, greater safety, and multi-functionality (i.e. trucks for towing or plowing, etc.).  Yet the advancement of cars has now caused the ever-popular, oft-debated global climate change crisis.  With vehicles requiring oil and increasing demand for supply, there have been wars throughout history over the ownership of oil derricks.  Oil has had a huge impact on the global economy to the point that the majority of countries would be disabled without the use of oil.  The point here is this: any advancement will always have advantages and disadvantages.

It is up to us to decide how to wisely use technology.  And in some situations, it may be even wiser to not even pursue it.

For now, go on Harry Potter. . .do your thing.  It might not be long before we’re right behind you (that is of course, if you can see us!).
