Not So “Peachy” Now: Illinois Gov. Faces The Music

Go ahead Rod, enjoy that smile now. . .It won’t be long before your cellmate-daddy is showing off that picture to his buddies.
As has already been discussed , the evidence against Governor Blagojevich is enormous. So much so that his fellow politicians in the State House of Representatives voted 114 to 1 in favor of impeaching the dodgy Blagojevich.
Here is Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s response to the House’s push for impeachment:
Yet despite the insurmountable evidence, Blagojevich still claims he is innocent of any state or federal charges, stating, “I am confident that at the end of the day I will be properly exonerated” in a recent press conference.
But hypothetically let’s assume Blagojevich is innocent. Even if that were the case, does he not have even the ethicality to admit that his actions at least appeared crooked? Should he not have admitted his own poor judgment? Sometimes being “wrong” doesn’t mean just committing an act with intent; sometimes “wrong” includes admitting one’s ignorance or naivete of the negative impact their action made. Sadly, reality seems to be far from this hypothetical case for Gov. Blagojevich.
Ultimately, the statement of Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn hits the nail on the head, “The governor did not address the central issue, which is the abuse of power.”
So quote Lord Alred Tennyson all you want Hot-Rod. . .Your slice of hot, im-peach-ment pie is on its way.
Tennyson

(Blagojevich’s role model was also follicly-challenged!)
