Air Jordans can really fly! Just ask George Bush. . .
Just recently George Bush was the victim of a fly-by. That’s right, a fly-by.
No, we’re not talking a fleet of jets or even dive-bombed by a flock of pigeons.
Rather Bush, while at a press conference in Iraq, had a pair of shoes thrown at him by an Iraqi journalist.
Just recently ignitethemind commented on Iraq’s tremendous progress , but as we all know, progress is a slow, sometimes painful (shoes hurt flying that fast!), sometimes embarassing process.
One columnist looks at the cultural relevance for throwing a shoe at Bush and while these are extremely insightful remarks, it also seems equally practical. What security guard is going to let a journalist in with a 5 lb. rock or hand grenade for that matter? The guy was smart, and he used what was on him - literally the clothes on his back, or better said, the shoes on his feet.
Truth be told though, much of the American public would like to throw a shoe or two at Bush as he comes to the end of a questionable tenure in office. But in all fairness, he’s also had plenty of proverbial shoes thrown at him through the media. . .Still, if you want to throw some of your own, here’s a great little game for ya - just go easy on ‘em. http://www.sockandawe.com/
So sorry George. . .it really is a disrespectful thing to have someone throw their shoes at you, no matter who you are. I guess it brings a whole new meaning to Air Force One.

Air Force One and Air Force Ones. . .and both can fly!
